While we encourage you to bring in your own vet recommended shampoo if your pet needs a medicated bath, we are also happy to use Stratford’s Keto-C medicated shampoo which we keep on hand. This shampoo contains ketoconazole and chlorhexidine, and is antifungal and antibacterial.

For ear cleaning, we use Nexderma’s Silvet Advanced Otic Ear Cleaner Triple Action with Hydrocortisone. Silver nanoparticles are antifungal and antimicrobial, and the hydrocortisone helps with itching and irration. Additionally, the cleaner contains boric acid to aid in drying the ear after the bath which helps prevent ear infections.
From greasy ears to sap stuck in paw pads, Les Poochs has an excellent degreaser product that is a blend of 12 natural oils.

As an moisturizing additive to our conditioner mix, we use Secret Weapon Xtra. This hydrating and detangling additive helps us cut down on brushing and de-matting time which can be stressful for the pet. It also leaves the coat feeling extra soft and restored after the bath.
When it comes to dogs who have been sprayed by a skunk, we follow the AKC’s recommended recipe: Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, and the original Dawn dish soap. Please note that this is the only time we use products that were not specifically designed for dogs, and we do not use these products for other reasons.

To freshen your pet breath, we use Tropiclean’s oral care foam which is free from sulfates, parabens, dyes, and artificial flavors. Flavored with spearmint and green tea leaf extracted, this foam will help your pet’s stinky breath.
We are sometimes asked why we don’t brush teeth. The simple answer is that paying your groomer to brush your dog’s teeth once every couple months is not sufficient dental care and a waste of money. Instead we encourage you to brush your dog’s teeth on a daily basis and have regular veterinary dentals performed on your pet. We freshen every pet’s breath, but we do not want to give you the impression that this is a replacement for proper dental care.
